Risks per mile travelled

Has anyone come across a source of data on comparative risks/casualties per mile travelled between cycling, car travel and walking? I poked around a bit and failed to find anything.

Accident Rates

Have a look at this for pedestrian accident rates and RCGB for cars and pedal cycles.

Casualty rates per mode

could you not just use TABLE 52 – Passenger casualty rates by mode: 1999-2008 (page 178) in “Reported Road Casualties Great Britain: 2009” ?

This gives you the ‘per billion passenger kilometres’ for various modes including: car, pedal cycle and pedestrian – hopefully this is what you were after ? Apologies if not !
