Hi Clair,

We recently had enquiry about similar.

Though we've all seen some rather hazardous behaviour by some mobility scooter users, fortunately here in Oxfordshire, there are very few incidents reported and these involved only slight injury. The consequence of that is, we decided to put advice on our webpages, rather than produce printed materials. Our advice has not been approved/published yet but should available on our website in coming weeks. If you wanted to see draft version I'd be happy to share it with you.

While researching Dept for Transport and Mobility professionals, I also came across leaflets from Lincolnshire and from Dudley - which were useful.

Julie

You can download the mobility scooter leaflet from

It is bilingual of course.

I recently came across a publication produced by Ableworld called A Highway Code for mobility scooter users.
Might be worth contacting them.

We currently have a project to develop mobility scooter hazard perception training, funded by the road safety trust. Please contact the Lead Researcher (Duncan.guest@ntu.ac.uk) who will be able to provide more details and will be able to provide access to our training materials once they are finished.
