Title: Specialised Heavy Vehicles: Exemptions from Annual Testing: Government Response to Consultation
Organisation: Department for Transport
Date uploaded: 10th October 2017
Date published/launched: September 2017
In this consultation the Governemnt proposed that it is sensible that all heavy vehicles should undergo roadworthiness testing to identify defects, unless there is a clear reason why this is not practical or proportionate.
The responses were broadly in favour of the principle of introducing mandatory roadworthiness testing for specialised heavy vehicles, and as such the Government looks set to introduce mandatory testing for these vehicles.
