Buckinghamshire Council is committed to improving safety on the county’s roads – reducing the number of people killed or injured and reducing the severity of injuries.
We aim to:
- Reduce the risk of collisions on Buckinghamshire’s roads.
- Improve road safety awareness amongst vulnerable road user groups through education, training and publicity.
- Work in partnership with key organisations, partners and businesses.
Our work includes:
- Implementing Local Safety Schemes.
- Speed management.
- Working with Thames Valley Police to educate road users.
- Encouraging safer behaviour on the roads through campaigns aimed at:
- vulnerable road user groups
- Fatal 4 – drink drive, seatbelts, speeding & distraction
- Offering training/assessments for Motorcyclists, Driving for Work, Young Drivers & Mature Drivers.
