The Isle of Wight Council works with a range of partners to provide road safety education, training and publicity. We are members of the Hampshire Road Safety Partnership which includes National Highways, Hampshire County Council, Southampton City Council, Portsmouth City Council, Hampshire and Isle of Wight Fire and Rescue Service and Hampshire and Thames Valley Constabulary. The council also supports THINK! campaigns through the use of social media.
For primary schools, we are pleased to be able to offer a set of comprehensive lesson plans from Reception up to Year 6 which cover key elements of road safety education which can be used within the curriculum.
