TyreSafe has developed a range of information leaflets to help road safety partners explain to drivers and businesses how and why they should carry out regular checks on their vehicle’s tyres.
Despite many advances in vehicle technology, tyres remain the only point of contact between the vehicle and the road, and therefore they have a critical role to play in road safety. However many drivers remain unaware of their responsibilities towards their tyres and each year hundreds of drivers are killed or seriously injured in an accident where illegal or defective tyres were a contributory factor.
To help drivers understand some of the key tyre issues for their vehicle, along with some practical tips and advice to overcome these problems, TyreSafe has developed a suite of safety advice leaflets for cars, vans, motorcycles, trucks and caravans.
Leaflets, posters and interactive aids such as an online tyre pressure checker can be found by visiting the TyreSafe website.
