Presumably you are aware Stats 19 data alone doesn’t really allow a search for this type of data.
For sake of answering your question I am not aware of an issue in my area but I guess I am anticipating I will see some of these as EV ownership etc increases; the question is how significant it will become.I have occasionally seen this pattern of collision as Fatal Collisions over the years; they have involved drivers of advanced years, presumably who have changed to an automatic car because they are thought to be easier to drive. From memory most if not all occurred while the car was being parked; some have occurred in private car parks.
If this is an emerging problem it is going to be a challenge about the best way to deal with it.
