The Road Safety Unit provides a number of services to schools such as:
• Child training
• Cycle training
• School crossing patrols
• School travel plans
• Home to school sustainable travel strategy
We provide school resources for teaching road safety including:
• Teaching road safety at foundation level
• Teaching road safety through literacy
• Teaching road safety through numeracy
• Teaching road safety through personal, social, health education
• Key stages 1 to 4.
The Road Safety Team also run a number of campaigns throughout the year aimed at:
• Drink driving
• Road safety for senior citizens
• Seatbelts and child restraints
• Speeding
• Mobile Phones
