Can you tell me please who charges for their SCPs and if you only charge Academies?

In East Sussex we currently do not charge for any school sites that meet the criteria (PV2). We offer a sponsorship agreement to sites that do not meet the criteria, and if taken up, they are charged whether LA or academies.
With budgets as they are, this may change.

    Good morning Frances,

At Kent County Council, we currently do not charge schools for the provision of RCPs. If the crossing location does not meet RSGB criteria then the school can pay for their own RCP and we provide the lawful authority via a legally informed Service Level Agreement, but provide training, monitoring, risk assessing (currently) at no cost to the school, but they pay for uniform costs.
    Kind regards,
    David

    Hello Frances

Here at Royal Borough of Greenwich Council we did have a school who paid, but they no longer have a patrol. No schools pay for the service. We are reducing our SCP team generally due to traffic and hybrid working changes that have occurred since Covid. We are engaged with a volunteer process going forward.

    Kind regards

    Ann Grant
