There is a School Crossing Patrol – Information for Parents and Drivers leaflet on the RSGB website (https://roadsafetygb.org.uk/members-area/school-crossing-patrol/).
I have been asked by one of our local schools to get this translated if possible. Firstly, does anyone already have this green leaflet in other languages? Would you pass this cost to the school or is it our responsibility to provide information, when requested, in other languages?

We have had a similar issue with some parking leaflets and considered having them translated into a number of languages. There is a huge cost for translating documents and how many/which languages do you have it translated to?

We contacted a number of schools and found that they routinely send out all information in English making it the responsibility of the parents to have it translated themselves. This isn’t ideal and I’m sure that many parents just ignore the documents as they cannot read them.

There are a number of free sites on the internet and we decided to put the responsibility back on the schools.

Thanks Keith, like you say, not ideal but it does seem incredibly costly.
